Words That Work For Your Business

Barb is a professional freelance copywriter with more than 20 years experience helping clients to develop engaging copy for print and online material.

Writing, Editing, Content Creation

Barb develops content for blog posts, online training materials, newsletters, reports, government documents, procedures, etc. Her clients appreciate her attention to detail and that she likes to understand their businesses so she can create content that people can easily understand and act upon.

She is also a qualified freelance journalist and has worked successfully with many newspaper and magazine editors. She has had more than 1,000 feature length articles published on a wide range of subjects. Many of these articles have been adapted for online publication.

Barb rises to challenging assignments. For example, a water utility asked her to tender to research and write its 100-year history book. Her tender was successful and she wrote a story about the culture of the people and company that just happened to span 100 years. The book was not a boring chronological rendition.

Copywriting for Tender Responses

In the last few months, Barb has written tender submissions for one medium sized and two small businesses that have generated contracts worth $4.5 million. She helped a previous client win a multi-million dollar contract for five years instead of three. Please visit the specific page for Tenders.

When she was writing the tender for one of these clients, she noticed the company did not have a Safety Management Plan. To get the SMP up to standard, she edited or rewrote the policies and procedures, and wrote new ones where necessary. The finished SMP was fully compliant with industry standards.

Copywriting for Training Materials

Barb has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and writes training materials to meet individual Units of Competency or full qualifications. All material meets audit requirements including mapping documents for assessment tasks. She has also learnt online training software so she can offer clients the whole package including matching voice-over commentary and designing elementary animations. Please visit the specific page for Training Materials.

If you would like to know more about what Barb can do, please send her an email and she will answer any questions about her skills as a freelance copywriter or clarify any specific aspects of her experience.

All enquiries welcome.
